Hi Jean-Paul,
I agree that IPC-9701 is a good starting point to test SAC assemblies but I
am afraid that people will use "conditions...optimized for test efficiency
(maximum acceleration)" =earliest possible failure, and not optimized to produce
useful results--of course, conclusions will be drawn regardless. Without valid
results being produced, the development of an acceleration model will take a
long time.
Do you have an explanation/guess for the discrepancy between the NPL and the
LEADFREE creep rate data?
