Hey Rudy: I hope he's not using an aluminum stencil or frame, could be in
for a surprise in the morning with that "VERY alkaline" caustic cleaner. :>)

Subject: Re: [TN] Stencil Cleaner for SMT adhesive

My suspicion is that the adhesive is not only polymerized, it has also
reacted with the substrate oxides, to produce a gemush that will need
virtual
destruction to remove it....luckily this is not real difficult, simply time
consuming... a good chelated caustic base cleaner, soaked overnight (and
water rinsed)
would likely give you a stencil that was cleaner than the day it arrived at
your shop, and just because I am one helluva nice guy, I will send you a
quart
of concentrate, which will make up a gallon of ready-to-use solution, for
free, and at no extra cost.

This stuff will likely clean many more screens than I care to think about,
thus, once again, fulfilling our company's tradition, of making a lot of
friends, but not much money....:-)

The cleaner is VERY alkaline, but that is the only issue with it...no fumes,
etc, and can be dumped after being used by simply pouring in Mountain Dew,
or
other non-potable acidic materials, bringing the pH to a reasonable level,
at
which time the most hazardous part of the mix is the residues of the
Mountain
Dew...which have been rumored to have mind altering effects... but I
digress...

Give me an address, and it is yours...
