Hi Joe - The Electronic Connector Study Group Inc published a 4 volume
series "Connectors and Interconnections Handbook" which is very good,
although somewhat dated in sections. I use Volume 4 Materials quite a bit.

One of our Components Engineering guys has taken over responsibility for
connectors, and he'd like to develop more knowledge in this specialized
area.  Does anyone out there offer training, or are there any good books
or other resources?

We're dealing mostly with MIL stuff here, like 38999, 83723, and 55302.
