A good source is the web site and/or catalog of the specific connector
manufacturers, typically the 'Engineering' section. Another source is the
DoD website to get a copy of the particular MIL standards. A third source is
the manufacturers of test equipment for the connectors, such as Agilent who
offer application notes on how to design and test connector types.

One of our Components Engineering guys has taken over responsibility for
connectors, and he'd like to develop more knowledge in this specialized

We're dealing mostly with MIL stuff here, like 38999, 83723, and 55302.
