Carrie,

I count our SMT termination opportunities by counting the stencil file
apertures in GCPrevue.
After importing the Gerber file, I select all the apertures, use
Tools>Query, then scroll down the list of apertures to see how high the
count goes.
The only failing with doing this is if you occasionally have any apertures
made up of a number of d-codes.
Works ok most of the time though :)
