seems as you and Gaby are neighbours....
Many droplets, we don't know the amount. Remember we have also Copper, Aluminium and Gold in the chain. With 100VDC potential difference, things happen.  As someone said, we may also have cracks in the  plating etc. You should see the resulting corrosion! Builds up carrier traces, and finally ignition paths. If  the connectors had been carefully potted, or had been hermetic, we had not had this problem. For this case, we have gone back to Isopropanol, as I said. We have supposedly drowned connectors in that bath, and nothing negative happened at all.

Ingmar,
I am just trying to figure out what is the capacity of one drop of Vigon in
term of chemical attack on Nickel. I believe you are reffering to one drop ,
which is about  0.01 ml ( 10 drops are considered to be 0.1 ml, at least
this estimation is good enough for titrations  ). So, what can do 0.01 ml of
Vigon ??? Dissolve, say 0.1 mg of Nickel???
