I think the primary issues with most electrical part aging, would be solderability and
moisuture content.   If you can handle the above two issues with the Terms and Conditions
of your purchasing agreement, I wouldn't expect to see functional problems* with
parts that are a few years old (if they've been handled correctly).

* Aluminum electrolytic capacitors might be an exception to this rule....
