Patrick-
There has been many spreadsheets generated on PNP machines but the part I
recommend paying attention to is Customer service (Applications, Field
Service, and Customer support). This part of the purchasing process needs to
be as important as $, Speed, accuracy, and so on. Some spreadsheets do not
take into consideration these functions. With the way the electronics
industry has performed in the last 18 months this becomes even more of an
important issue (i.e. two service guys to handle all of North America's
issues).
A good start for you is possibly:

Years ago NEPCON (Pre Apex) would do this type of eval each year and it was
valuable.... but requires tons of resources for compiling and publishing.

Hope this helps.

Enjoy,

Subject: [TN] Cap. Equip. Spreadsheet

We are preparing to purchase a new pick and place machine. Does anyone
have a spreadsheet they might share that compares features between
different manufacturers (like min/max bd and component sizes, feeder
sizes & prices, and any other unique features) Thanks.
