Hi Doug,
While a 260C rating will be adequate for some components, e.g. leaded
components, it is not adequate for larger BGAs with some of the more popular
LF-solders. Ratings of 275C may be required for those--of course, it depends whether a
short-time (<10 sec) exposure to 275C violates a 260C rating or not. How are
these ratings determined?
