No steelies!
For the youngsters, steelies were steel ball bearings about 1" in dia used
in the game of marbles. They could shatter a cats eye and chip an "aggie".
When negoaiting the rules for a particular contest one often called "no
steelies". Otherwise you would keep your really good aggies and clearies out
of the ring.
I know this is way off topic, but what the heck, Mondays are slow anyway.
