Gusti,

This is a terrible idea. Contamination can and will be trapped in the coating as it melts/softens
above Tg. The coating itself can become "carbonized" in the heat from the soldering iron.
The coating thickness will change dramatically, exceeding the manufacturers recomendation.

Mostly it is messy and uncontrollable.

If your end use environment requires the use of a protective coating then
burning/melting it to save time is just plain wrong!!
