IPC-A-610 Section 5.5.1.2 calls for what amounts to a minimum 180 degree wrap.  Section 5.5 applies generally to wire terminations but could be used to apply to component lead terminations too.  When we did wires and leads to a terminal (round or bifurcated) we always did a 180 degree min wrap.  Helps to hold the wire/part(s) in place while soldering too.

When a component such as a resistor is installed between two bifurcated
terminals,
should it's leads be wraped around one of the posts of the terminals or is
it okay 
if it simply sits on the bottom?
