I appended a link to the programming commands you will need to know, or at
least be familiar with

You did not mention whether you required software for NC programming only or
also for Gerber editing as well. Certainly any of the Gerber editors,
Graphicode, CAM350, Lavenir, CAMtastic, Genesis, (see here for links to some
http://www.smtinfo.net/download.html ) can provide you with the tools you
need. For NC programming only the Fastechnologies product is a good one
(http://www.fastec.com/ )

Heck, for really simple stuff all you need is a text editor and some scrap
paper - just like the old days!

Subject: [TN] Drill/Rout Software Question

Technetters. I'm asking for some direction on what software to use for
creating drill and rout files. We're a very small proto shop, just bought a
used Excellon machine. We've used and outside service since 1979 to do that
work but they seem to be "moving on" and now it's up to us to learn it. Any
advice is appreciated. Well.....almost any advice......
Thanks! -----------------------
