Very true. I have the same situation here with prototypes and have no
problem with that. However, that wasn't the issue brought up in this thread.
This issue concerned the stockroom cutting off pieces of tape from a reel
each time a production job is run based on the value of the component. I
still think the better solution is to leave the reels alone and control
material on the floor properly.
