Charles,
Calibrated stop watch...hmmm, good suggestion.  Kidding on the side, the
pot life of adhesive is very important, specially, glob top
encapsulation or underfill.  Some of the material only got pot life for
few hours (out of freezer).  For automated line, it is not an issue at
all, but for someone sitting at bench close to coffee break sure needed
reminder of the pot life...(if you keep good record, you may find some
of your no-fault-found related to the coffee break time...).
Adhesives are key part of CSP and Flip Chip.
