Ramon,
I have seen some difference between a soldered TC and Kapton Taped TC. From my experience I have seen around 4-6 degrees. We normally use the soldered TC to develop the process and then used the tape (twice a week) to verify the process is in control. Of course every month we follow up this method with a solder TC as additional verification.

Has anybody profiled a board and compared the temperature difference
between a TC soldered to a joint and a TC taped to the same joint?
Was it just one or two or several degrees, and if the latter how many?
Regards,
Ramon
