Over the past few weeks I've read a few intersting facts which I would like
to have backed up if possible or some further information

1) If re-cycled lead is used (say in lead-free solder) then the product is
exempt from the directives, is this ture ? how would it be
controllled/policed

2) on the fines (the Volvo idea!!) who will police this?, I had heard they
would be prohibative. ANyway isn't automotive exempt?

3) does anyone have any cost figures on the cost of lead-free per inch or
whatever else it can be measured in

4) would not the WEEE directive overtake th ROSH, as if the supplier has to
dispose of the equipment at end of life, could he not use leaded solder
then reclaim it at the end of life disposal?

many regards
