Well, the flammability and Mt. Dew thread was mine, in the good old days
when levity on Technet was not an offense to the politically correct.

I like Bev Christian's response.  It reminds me of a situation here last
year over a concern on a two part adhesive.  The Part B had the word
carcinogen on the MSDS.  Not knowing how to interpret MSDS sheets, they
refused to work with the material.  It took me quite a bit of effort to
explain that the carcinogen was fused silica and only a danger in pure
form, not in the 0.5% form in the Part B.  And since the material was
chemically bound anyway, it was not a problem.

While I agree with Greg Munie that it would be nice to have a more informed
society, I don't think we will live to see it considering the dumbing down
going on around us.

Wasn't there a thread a ½ year or so ago concerning the flash point of
Mtn. Dew?  Perhaps the maker caught wind of it and decided to make their
product fire retardant to address this issue.

I'll stick with my coffee.
