I don't think you are going to get a clear answer on this one. Three years ago I was cleaning out my fathers barn and found my first calculator. Put a battery in it and it worked. So what does that have to do with your storage question? Not much except that it was stored in horrible conditions for almost 30 yr. and works, but when I need a pacemaker I do not want to find out that it has been in a warehouse since  I had all my hair. 
 I think you may be the one to tell us in 15 yr. I have built boards that are in storage for spare parts  for a proposed 15-20 yr. Vacuum packed in fiber reinforced bag with dessicant. One of our customers though will not accept vacuum packaged boards that have electrolitic caps.
