What are you looking for? I found 2-D was good as they faster to program and
catches most of the problems (IE: Solder bridges, missing, reversed,
misaligned, tombstone)

Morning Technet,

We're in the process of evaluating different AOI machines to put after our
SMT reflow ovens.  I've been trying to read up on AOI, and have seen
differences in machines such as 2D imaging vs. 3D imaging, differences in
lighting sources (xenon, lcd, etc.), vector imaging vs. grey scale
correlation, etc.  I wanted to query the Technet crowd to see what kind of
knowledge/experience you all have on AOI and maybe even on specific
machines.
