hi,

may i add a couple of other differences? thanks. pvc wire insulation cannot be used on military programs (it gives off a carcinogen when it burns).

teflon wire insulation has very poor cold flow, and should not be used where it might come into contact with sharp edges, corners, and points.

teflon insulation has very good dielectric properties.

teflon insulation is difficult to bond to unless you pull off a few fluorine atoms with sodium (read tetra etch).

Kynar wire insulation can be a good substitute for teflon when teflons shortcomings are difficult to live with.

phil
