Hi,

I would be wary too.   I believe IPC states 25mils end to end, and 40mils
side to side.  You could go closer, but, for improved yields this rule works
great.

I have some 0805 resistors placed on a board, the supplier says its no
problem laying them out with no space between components.  I was wondering
is there a specification for SMD minimum spacing.  Because I am vary wary
of this claim for many reasons.
