Hi, all!

The United Nations Environment Programme has just published the
electronic version of the 2002 Solvents, Coatings and Adhesives
Technical Options Committee Assessment Report. It is in PDF format and
is about 530 kb long. You can download it from:

http://www.protonique.com/unepstoc/

This report contains the full text of the original printed book. It is
an indexed document containing an Executive summary, an Introduction, a
Glossary and chapters covering:

     * The current situation
     * Electronics defluxing
     * Precision cleaning
     * Metal cleaning
     * Dry cleaning
     * Adhesives applications
     * Aerosols applications
     * Miscellaneous applications
     * Alternatives for developing countries

and four Appendices. One appendix gives guidelines on the proper and
safe use of halogenated solvents. It is a mine of information to help
users to eliminate the use of ozone-depleting substances. Emphasis has
been laid on the needs of enterprises in developing countries and those
who are Small and Medium Users (SMUs)

You can inform people that this is not a copyright document and can be
freely copied to any web site or in hard copy, provided that source
acknowledgement is clear.

Best regards,

Brian
