Yup! Default text viewing is always best. I HATE e-mail text messages in
colour and a variety of fonts and other non-essential rubbish. I'm now
using Bayesian statistical spam filtering which is very versatile at
reliably sorting out what e-mails contain. I'm very seriously
considering making a "bucket" which will treat all HTML messaging as
spam. Too bad for those sending me messages that won't be read, but I
don't have time to waste, with 200 incoming messages many days.

Incidentally, the spam filter is marvellous: it catches about 99.9% of
spam (and only about 0.01% of wanted messages end up in the spam
bucket). The wanted messages are sorted automatically with about 99.5%
accuracy into 5 other buckets, even though the subject matters overlap.
I've never had such good spam elimination.
