Hi Charles! The SolderNu product was fluoboric acid based instead of
phosphoric acid based. Kester is discontinuing the SolderNu product?
Bummer, when used carefully the stuff was a nice tool to have in the
solderability restoration kit!

Sorry I don't have the msds anymore. I just remember it was phosphoric acid
based. Smelled just like the descaler I use in my aqueous machine. So when
I read that it was discontinued I dug into some parts we use for training
and found some resistors that are pretty ugly. Soaked in descaler for about
a minute, rinsed and tinned. It worked. If your quality dept. is like ours
though it would be a hard sell.

I've just been informed that Kester has discontinued Solder-Nu. Does
anybody know of a similar product by any other manufacturer?
