Hi All,
The copper "ladders" on one of our Cu plating tanks (500 gal.) are due for
a rebuild.

Currently, each "ladder" consists of a rectangular Cu frame with cross bars
bolted/ welded in place (the anodes & panels hang from these crossbars).
Current is supplied from the rectifier to each crossbar via a separate
cable.

Our equipment maintenance guy suggested that we can remove the rectangular
frame (cost consideration) without reducing plating consistency/ efficiency.
He would attach U shaped blocks to the tank rim to support each crossbar.

(I think the frames are a carryover from the old days when we used fewer
cables).

Seems to me that this should work fine. What do you think?

Many Thanks,
Mark Hargreaves
