I can sympathize. I had customer ( quality guy ) who had NO experience with circuit boards or soldering prior to our contract. In our case it was through hole and the affected joints were limited to certain pins on certain parts. I actually had to empty my wave solder and fill it with new solder. The advice to keep time over liquidus is about the best I know to do. Nitrogen might help.

Board.

Hi Dave,

The problem is that I'm having extreme stubborn customer that insists to meet the requirement.

I do not know how they do it, but those sample boards that they have showed me is of smooth shining joint.

I doubt they rework all boards, as each board consists, at least 2000 solder joints.
