Liquid flux is still the cause of many Reliability failures.
Flux in switches and in connectors cause major problems after it hardens.
It is my experience that it causes more defects than dull solder joints,
Use it sparingly for best reliability.
i have seen a lot of off-shore people using it too...
They solder unsealed switches in upside down positions where the flux runs right into the switch.
If you computer power supply ever fails, check the switch.
Use as little flux as possible...when hand soldering...
