For specific military cable assemblies, we've had to test the guns at
certain settings on scrap cable, then "lock" them in place by wrapping green
tape around the adjuster...

We couldn't get any specific information from our maker of ty-wrap guns
(Panduit), nor any military standards we looked at...  It seems that normal
cable damage and strain relief standards just apply inversely...

Bill -

I don't know what your application(s) are, but from personal experience, I
can tell you that calibrated or not, I'd keep them far away from all
unprotected fiber optics.  I worked for an OEM years ago where lots of very
expensive fiber optic cables were wrecked by Ty-wrap guns.
