hi,
i have two concerns with intentionally shorting adjacent leads (or pads) with solder. first, an inspector will probably reject this as a solder bridge when they see it, because that is what they are trained to do (once use to this they may also overlook other, real solder bridges assuming they are intentional). second, an assembler might remove it assuming it to be a defect. in my estimation, adding a jumper is clean and unambiguous.
