Still a bit vague on the part number question, by your answer do you mean:

1.) Same part number at different part locations.

2.) Completely different parts and unrelated parts ( by this I would even
wonder if the different parts were from the same manufacture.

Are you gluing any of the parts that are breaking in place?

Do these specific parts have a via underneath them and specifically a
"tented" via?

Have you tried simply placing a few of the parts on a cookie sheet or piece
of FR4 and "cooking" them to see if possibly they have some moisture trapped
inside them (or is this just a dumb idea)?
