Joe: A couple of ways to go depending on what equipment you have available.

1. You can use a one component UV curable soldermask, cured with a high
intensity UV light source.

2. You can use a two part room temperature cure epoxy.

3. You can use a standard thermal cure soldermask and use a heat gun for
localized curing.

All these materials are usually thinned and applied with a small brush.

One note of caution, the cured properties of these, in particular the
electrical may not be as good as the original soldermask. However if not in
a super critical area it probably is not an issue.

Subject: [TN] solder mask touch-up on a populated board

Technets,

Periodically we have to touch-up damaged solder mask on a populated board.
The solder mask is green LPI.

What is commonly used to touch-up damaged green colored, LPI solder mask on
populated boards? I do not want to subject the board to any temperature
over 125 C to cure. thanks

joe
