Greetings!
Although I can not say that I have ever heard of this occurring, if one
drops the pressure enough, the temperature at which the internally trapped
moisture will boil also drops - potentially creating a pop-corn
effect....maybe.
I can understand where 'sealed' devices such as displays, batteries and
electrolytic caps might not be too fond of a vacuum.
