Greetings and Felicitations!
We currently specify a finished solder coverage for pcbs using HASL of .0003" to .002". A vendor has stated that (according to IPC-6012, which refers to J-STD-003) for HASL the range in solder coverage is .00005" to .0001". I was under the impression that anything under .0001" was not good due to the intermetallics from a previous TechNet discussion. Help!!!
TIA.
Sincerely,
Roger M. Stoops, CID
