Hi Donald,
We're a prototype/small production board shop, with one flying probe & 1 bed
of nails tester. The flying probe's been a very reliable workhorse. Over
the last few years, downtime has been minimal, and it's still sound
mechanically.

At 100 boards a month, your tester will spend most of it's time resting.

How many different board types per month do you do?

Have you considered sub-contracting the testing?

Regards,
Mark Hargreaves

        Hi all,

Can any of you share your experience or opinions on Flying Probe
board testers?

Out there in the real world, at what production levels do you think
a tester like this would become useful?

Our card room is looking at buying one. Our production level is
low, maybe 100 boards per month.

What type of product best fits this type of tester?

What about maintenance? Wouldn't there be a lot of moving parts to
wear out?
