Hello
We are starting a discussion here about different interconnect
possibilities.
Therefore input from all experts here is appreciated.
We try to compare the following solutions:
- Connectors with flex cable
- Soldered flex cable (through hole or hot bar soldered)
- Rigid flex (Polyamide)
- Semi flex (FR4)
In regard to:
- reliability of the interconnect
- cost
- manufacturing of the interconnect (e.g. baking of rigid flex (do
somebody have experience what is needed in the real world))
- diversity of suppliers (are there standard processes for rigid flex
and semi flex suppliers?)
- typical applications in different market segments
Does somebody know publication about this topic?
What is your opinion about the different possibilities?
Best regards
Siggi
