Duh doy, I get it now. Sherif also pointed out my error, as I mentioned to
him I've seen open pit silver mines and there is a heck of a lot of fossil
fuel being consumed to pull that ore out of the ground. The earth movers
resemble a two story building on wheels. And most of what they haul away is
overburden. Also most of our electricity here in the Silver State comes from
coal fired plants so refining the ore can't be cheap in terms of energy.
