                Hello,

We are trying to address an issue in our SMT area where operators are
setting up the feeders for the machines. If they wear wrist straps while
sitting they have a tendency to get wrapped around everything and or
themselves. If we put them on their ankles, we are concerned about the
safety of people tripping or walking away and forgetting they are attached
and doing themselves or something else harm.

Also wondering about at the AOI station, when the operator is seated and
product is in the machine, as soon as they stand the 2 heel straps take
over. Our requirement is that as soon as you sit the wrist strap must be
attached. Some feel the wrist straps are not necessary for AOI.

I am interested in how the rest of the world handles this specific ESD
question. All responses are welcome, online or offline.

Thanks,
