I'm currently trying to source a custom designed surface mount socket for one
of our products.

I'm getting a certain amount of contradictory information about how much area
is needed on the socket to allow it to be picked up by a Pick & Place machine
using a vacuum pick up.

Given that the component weighs about 2 grammes (1/12 oz) and is about 10mm X
12mm (3/8" X 1/2") how big a sucker would you feel you need to place it with?

Thanks,
