What is an infrared thermocouple?
I thought thermocouples generate a voltage when the junction gets heated.
And it does not matter how you heat that junction, whether using infrared
(radiated) or conduct the heat into the junction or whatever. Of course it
is not easy to determine the temperature of an infrared source, as the
intercepted radiation changes with distance.
What did I miss?

hi,

real basic question, but I'm a co-op student so I don't have any contacts
and I'm short on time...
but just a quick question, if anyone would be able to suggest/recommend
(offline of course - dont wanna get nailed for free advertising) where I
might be able to get an infrared K-type thermocouple? preferably from
dealers located in Canada if possible.
