Good afternoon,

A question has arisen regarding a Certificate of Compliance. A vendor will give us a C of C for the materials in an assembly or for specs of his design, but not for an item within our design specs. Example, we spec a pressure test for an assembly. We want to know that the assembly has been tested (and passed). Are we looking for the wrong kind of document? To have the document (C of C) mean anything each assembly would need a unique serial number or identifying unique date code.

Would his be better handled by a "record of inspection"? Is it just a matter of semantics?
