Acrylic or other sheet material of choice, or parts racks loaded with
bins work too. When the bins run dry of parts they can get the leads out.
Very simple, cheap, and sort of affective.
Nothing so elegant as a "near field" device such as an attachment
on the cutter itself, though.
Obviously safety glasses is a must.

Hi folks,
We're still in the dark ages using through hole technology. One of the joys of TH is lead trimming and seeing just how far you can make the leads fly when you cut them.
What have you other TH people done to minimize flying leads? I remember some diagonal cutters that had rubber molded into the back side to hold the leads. I also remember these were a pain in the butt. Using a high speed cutting wheel or "Q-cutter" is not an option for us due to the fact we clinch our leads and the Q-cutter just makes more work for us.
