Hi, Jean:
I think this maybe the flux emtrapment. Are you using the hand soldering process on this socket? If this like so, maybe you will use some cleanner solvents to clean the residues. But this solvents will cause the capillary and take the rosin to the socket strips!

I have spoted white residues under header Socket strips. It looks like
some kind of crust and some times the residues observed looked like
yellow translucent crystals.
Can this be entraped flux? I beleive so, but need to have opinion from
experts to conform.
