Steve,

I, like you, believed this applied to the Autosplice or machined type of
pin.  While the title refers to 'Connector' the illustrations and gist of
the discussion seem to focus strictly on single press-fit pins, not
press-fit connectors which basically have a different contact method.  After
re-reading it, I still would not apply it to press-fit connectors.
