Soldermask over HASL or solder can be used to increase current carrying
capability of PWB conductors but as has been noted in earlier posts the
solder will reflow under the soldermask which has nasty implications. You
could manually solder the boards...

I didn't think a board house would even do that anymore, except by special
request.
