A:  It is the same. The only way to assure no "Hole Wall Pullaway" is tohave
both functional and non-functional lands.

A:  This applies to PTHs as well as PTVs. The filling of the holes as little
impact on "Hole Wall Pullaway." "Hole Wall Pullaway" is most common inn
thicker MLBs, not double-side PCBs

A:  Yes. I am giving a workshop "Interconnect Failures and Design for
Reliability
for Plated-Through Holes/Vias (PTHs/PTVs)" at IPC conferences and for
clients. I will e coming through Incheon in April 2003 on the way to china;
if there is enough interest, I could stop in Korea to give the workshop. You
