I have to agree, engineers and designers that actually get off
their,....chair and get out into production have the best designs. But there
is no substitute for a good DFM/CE process.  The whole process should be
about having other disciplines check the work from the previous operation.
It applies to design, manufacturing, test etc. etc.
I think this is most successful when the right people are doing the
checking.
