Nice interesting story. I couldn't spin such a yarn in my nice 'terse' way.
You bring ap the Audi situation--believe it or not {don't tell Ripley's], but
I have it from a reliable source that the cause was a solder joint that had a
high propensity of cracking. So you started with my Ford [actually those were
GM SUVs; don;t know about Fords] under-hood temperatures and ended with my
Audi SJ problem.
