I like that answer and it would be mine as well. One question though, posed
by my client Ken Carlile at ECC, is where do we find the torque values used
on PCB assemtlies? I have lost track of this information since the demise of
275, etc., days.

When we built Class 3 we used tools calibrated regularly to guarantee that
they're only capable of delivering
the specified torque.  The hardware being manufactured itself isn't tested
except in the design stage to verify that
the torque specification is right, and then only if it's a new application.

I was curious how are torque requirements for hardware are being confirmed?
If a particular piece of hardware has a torque requirement of 12in/lbs how
would the verification of that piece of hardware be done?  Do you use a
torque driver at the same in/lbs or back off of the torque range or look for
loose(gap only)?
