All the circuit boards we purchase have the part number in the form of artwork.
For serialization, We used Computype rectangular barcode labels. Then to save
space, we switched to a smaller square label. Now we use Laser etchers from GSI
Lumonics and ASYS (www.asys-llc.com). Between labels and laser etch, I prefer
laser etch. (I do not know if the label or adhesive can survive in a reflow
oven).
